Just got the March issue of Evolver magazine with the portrait I did for Billy Braggs new album cover. Its really great that they only used the Tilte of the magazine 'Evolver' on the cover. Its really appropraite. Its great to see the image used on white as I'd intended it . Billy and I had discissed Richard Avedons portraits and I think it works really well.

Lydia Cobb has just started as Photographer and studio manager. Lydia's just finished her 18 month apprenticeship passed with flying colours and is already shooting makeovers and family portraits !! (and she's only 19!!) .She has been great asset to my business and am really looking forward to helping her develop as a photographer and business woman :)))

The shot was taken for the B-Side arts festival that was run during the Olympics in Weymouth near Andy's studio in Dorchester. Andy works mainly from Seven Springs Studios near Dorchester but this portrait was taken in London where the Artist Mr Potpourri was located. Andys portrait photography is always his great passion and when he is not shooting family portraits or fashion makeover shoots he will be shooting for his commercial photography clients.

Just had a great job for Revolting design art directed and retouched by Ross Cleaver at Revolting Design.
Ross wanted the images to feel very uplifting and aspirational, to make Budmouth look like a great place to go !!
Ross had an idea of using the Fleet as a location. We recced tan area that had some long grasses and decide we needed to shoot early in the morning to give that lovely warm glow.
The sun wasn't out on the morning of the shoot (typical !!) So we used a flash with warm gels and a dish reflector to act as the sun.
Ross added the sky and colours later on in pst production. A typical English location shoot, you need to go prepared for cloud :)))
We just shot a four foot stainless steel sign to go on the side of a new school.
This was designed by Revolting design.
The Quay School is a new school specialising in helping children who are in danger of exclusion.
